Foothills BMW, 100,000 Foot Run
Ride Over Mountain Passes in Colorado
This ride leaves Foothills BMW in Lakewood Colorado and ends at Morse Park a few blocks from
Foothills BMW. The ride is about 460 miles through some of the surrounding mountain passes. The
map file provided may have slightly adjusted waypoints and GPS coordinates than what is listed here
and they do not include the lunch stop since you can stop where ever you please when you're out on
your own. This is here to give people a way to enjoy the same route that we enjoyed. If you enjoy
the route consider supporting Foothills BMW and join the ride on the first Saturday in August each
year.
If you decide to take the ride and still haven't had enough you can download another MapSource file I'm providing.
This file contains the "Rule The Rockies" routes featured in the September 2004 American Motorcyclist Magazine.
This file includes 9 Must-Do Rides in Colorado. Some of them are the same runs contained in the 100,000 Foot Run but
there are plenty of other roads to try in there.
Here's some pictures I took of the event and my travels from Milwaukee to there and back.

Here are the files I'm providing for the ride. Some points are added to make the routing
work correctly so I hope it doesn't confuse anyone. I'm also including a GPX file that
will allow you to modify any of the points or routes and feed them into other mapping
programs. MapSource will read this file and you can also use GPS Utility to read the GPX file.
Here is the route file for the "Rule the Rockies" article in the September 2004 American Motorcycle Magazine.
